NAGASE KOMUTEN is a first-class registered architect office serving Shodoshima, building custom homes and handling renovation and home repairs. We specialize in Shodoshima alone — we don't spread to other islands or the mainland, only the homes of this island. As empty houses increase here, we launched our Real Estate Division to help people not only build, but also carry homes on to the next generation.
From introducing properties to estimating renovation costs, construction and after-handover care — our strength is that a carpenter checks every building before we show it to you. Whether you are considering moving to the island, a second base, or selling an akiya, please feel free to talk to us.
What we can do
We introduce akiya and kominka across the island. A carpenter checks each building, and we present it together with a renovation estimate.
From water-area renovation to full kominka revival, all built in-house. We are also good at step-by-step plans while you live in the house.
Consultation on selling or renting your akiya, plus arranging furniture clearing and demolition. Remote owners welcome.
